Web Quest Scavenger Hunt
Technology tips to help you navigate through our pond site.
To access our
pond site, click on Internet Explorer, go to favorites and scroll down to Pond Site.
1. Use
the “back arrow” and “forward arrow” button to return or forward yourself to a portion you would like
to return to.
2.
You do not have permission to click on advertisements
that are not a part of our pond site. ( If you have a questions about whether or not you can access a certain link, raise
your hand )
3. After
you answer the first question on your scavenger hunt, you may wish to take the first 10 minutes of lab time to explore the
site and then begin your scavenger hunt tasks. It will not be necessary for you to access the Teacher button or Missing Gator
button for today’s purpose. Click on the “Surprise” bton when you have finished all of the questions.
Before you begin
your Web Quest scavenger hunt, visualize Troute Brook…what does it look like? How wide is it? Is the water fast running,
slow running, or both depending on the day and conditions? Now think about the pond at Westmoor Park or another pond you are
familiar with. Jot down some thoughts about how you think rivers, streams and/or lakes are different
than ponds. ( 2 points)
